Underground Water Monitoring System
Underground Water Monitoring System (UWMS) is a system which measures, automatically as well as continuously monitors and transmits data parameters to management center showing the quality of water composition in subterranean water.
Underground Water Monitoring helps assess the level of water pollution according to current regulations as well as the pollution affected by the companies or factories which have water waste discharging into the environment, from that, provide the information for timely response planning; warn against the risk level of groundwater pollution; supervise and inspect the compliance with regulations of the license for exploitation and use of underground water resources; as well as meet the requirements in environmental management of central and local governments.
The UWMS system must comply with current regulations, specifically – Circular 17/2021/TT-BTNMT dated October 14th, 2021 on Supervision of extraction and use of water resources with basic components as follow:
Basic components
- Equipment for measuring parameters includes flow, water level, indicators of water quality (if any).
- Collection and transmission data devices (dataloggers)
- Infrastructure and auxiliary systems (such as electrical cabinets, lightning protection systems, etc.)
- Data monitoring software on site and at the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment
